The Philadelphia Eagles entered last season as the team to beat in the NFC.
Not only did they boast plenty of talent all over the field, but they were also fresh off a convincing season that saw them almost bringing the Vince Lombardi trophy home.
That wasn’t the case this past season.
Some blamed Jonathan Gannon and Shane Steichen for leaving Nick Sirianni’s side and even claimed that he wasn’t emotionally mature enough to be in charge of the team.
Others thought Jalen Hurts’ MVP-caliber season was a contract year-related fluke.
Whatever the case, Craig Carton believes that we’re going to watch them get back to their winning ways next season.
In the latest edition of The Carton Show, he claimed that his sources in Philadelphia let him know that Hurts played through shoulder and knee injuries last season, and he’s reportedly back to full strength.
“You’re gonna see the Eagles of 2 years ago,” Carton said.

The quarterback is reportedly looking as good as he’s ever been.
The Eagles also gave Sirianni two top-notch assistant coaches in Vic Fangio and Kellen Moore.
Not having Fletcher Cox and Jason Kelce there will be a big blow, particularly in terms of leadership.
But the Eagles have an elite roster and a huge chip on their shoulders after a fairly disappointing end to last season.
They don’t have any sort of competition in their own division, and only the San Francisco 49ers look like a slightly better team than them in the NFC, at least on paper, so it’ll be interesting to see how they fare in 2024.
