The Philadelphia Eagles — and any other team in the NFL, for that matter — don’t usually spend big bucks on their running back corps.
But that’s also because, usually, players like Saquon Barkley aren’t available.
Howie Roseman didn’t hesitate to make a run at the talented back as soon as he became a free agent, and he made sure he didn’t leave that meeting without a new contract.
Recently, Barkley became a trending topic on social media again, as a clip of New York Giants GM Joe Schoen talking about Barkley went viral.
It seems like the Giants were the only team in the league that didn’t see him as a valuable piece to their offense.
With that in mind, former Giants star Plaxico Burress predicted that Barkley would have a resurgence in Philadelphia.
“This is gonna be a resurgence for him.”

Talking on The Carton Show, the former Super Bowl champion claimed that Barkley would most likely have something between 1,700 and 1,800 rushing yards in that offense.
Kellen Moore is a creative offensive coordinator, and Barkley will now finally play behind a consistent and reliable offensive line, not to mention the elite supporting cast that he’s going to have on offense as well.
Barkley will also have a huge chip on his shoulder to prove the Giants wrong.
Unfortunately for the Giants, they’re going to have to deal with him twice a year for as long as he stays in Philadelphia, and the decision to move on from him and hold onto Daniel Jones might prove to be very costly for Schoen.
