With the passing of Ka a few weeks ago and Rich Homie Quan before him, Hip-Hop has already been in mourning a lot recently. This evening, unfortunately there’s even more sad news. The legendary DJ Clark Kent has died.
If you’re unaware, Clark Kent was responsible for so many legendary Hip-Hop moments like introducing JAY Z and Dame Dash, producing three tracks on Reasonable Doubt, discovering Shyne and being at the forefront of pushing sneaker culture in Hip-Hop. The DJ had just celebrated his 58th birthday a few weeks ago.
There were rumours of his passing not long ago, with a few sites reporting that he’d died.
In the summer, it was revealed that Angie Martinez was directing a documentary on Clark Kent, with appearances from Hov, Questlove and more. God’s Favorite DJ: The Story of DJ Clark Kent will be even more special whenever it airs.
