J.J. Watt still has that competitive fire within him.
The former three-time Defensive Player of the Year recently posted a picture of himself after a workout, and the NFL got a hold of it and posted it on social media.
It is safe to say that Watt is still in fantastic shape for being 35 years old and retired from his playing days.

Watt is about to go into his second season of retirement, having last played for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2022 campaign.
But is he still staying in shape for a possible late-season return?
You’d have to think that if the Houston Texans came calling, Watt would have to at least consider joining his former team for a playoff push.
A former first-round draft choice of the Texans back in 2011, Watt recorded 114.5 career sacks and had two 20-sack seasons. A five-time All-Pro, he had at least 10 sacks in six of his 12 seasons, despite dealing with significant injuries at times.
What if the Texans are sitting at 12-5 at the end of the regular season with a first-round bye in the AFC? What if head coach DeMeco Ryans picked up the phone and gave Watt a call?
The only thing Watt is missing is a Super Bowl ring. That, outside of making sure he is in good health, could be why he is staying in such great shape.
