The New York Jets entered the 2023 NFL season with a lot of hope.

After years of frustration and heartbreak, the Jets added Aaron Rodgers into the fold, a player who was slated to help them get to the next level as an organization.

However, as fans are now well aware, Rodgers played less than a quarter of NFL action last year, as he got injured in the season opener and missed the rest of the year.

Despite his injury, Rodgers is expected to make a full recovery and should be the Jets’ starter for the entirety of the 2024 season.

Rodgers has been talking to the media a lot in the offseason as the Jets prepare for the upcoming year.

He recently talked about what the recruiting process was like with the team, which included a special gift from owner Woody Johnson.

“He gave me some honey from the queen’s garden,” Rodgers said via the New York Post.

This is an interesting gift, but it made an impact on Rodgers, who felt like he needed to mention it to reporters.

Gift or not, Rodgers is now on the Jets, and he has a lot of eyes on him heading into 2024.

The Jets invested a lot into him as they believe he will be the person who can take them back to the playoffs.

If his play isn’t what it used to be, or if he gets injured, this could be viewed as a failed recruitment for the Jets, who would be filled with disappointment, yet again.
