The New York Jets season is not going according to plan.

Aaron Rodgers was expected to come in and help save the Jets, to bring them back to the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.

However, this team hasn’t gotten into a rhythm all year, and they now hold a 3-8 record.

While they aren’t technically knocked out of the playoff race, it would take a miracle for them to make it in.

The Jets fired Robert Saleh, hoping that a coaching change would help their odds moving forward.

While it might have felt like the right move at the time, the Jets haven’t won a game with interim head coach, Jeff Ulbrich.

Ulbrich recently said that the Jets’ upcoming bye will be good for them, hoping to reset for the rest of the season.

While this might be a pertinent thing for a coach to say earlier in the season, or if a team is close to playoff contention, Mike Francesa called Ulbrich out for this in a recent episode of his podcast.

“Take a hard look at what? This is a joke,” Francesa said.

Francesa believes that the Jets’ season is over, and is frustrated that Ulbrich doesn’t see it that way.

Coaches seemingly need to put up a strong, positive front in the media, but in Francesa’s mind, this is not the time for coach-speak.

The Jets will have to go back to the drawing board if they want to break their playoff drought, as it doesn’t appear that 2024 is the year for them.
