NFL Week 6 Picks – Pro Football Mania

In NFL News
October 26, 2024

Jaguars at BearsCaleb Williams shined last week as he threw for over 300 yards. The Jags have been struggling with Trevor Lawrence. I like the Bears in their third straight win. 27-24.

Cardinals at Packers– What Cards team will show up this week? Last week they beat the formidable 49ers the week prior they had a poor showing against the Commanders. This week the Packers will prove too much. 31-21.

Colts at Titans– The Colts have been banged up for most of the year as they travel to Tennessee. The Colts are the more complete team that will win in a low scoring affair. 17-14.

Texans at Patriots– The Patriots have turned to their rookie QB Drake Maye against the Houston Texans. What should we expect? I believe he will play well but not well enough to win against the talented Texans. Even without Nico Collins they will win this game. 30-23.

Bucs at Saints– The Saints have lost three straight after soaring to a 2-0 record. With Carr hurt expect the Saints to struggle even with Kamara. I like the Bucs big 28-13.

Browns at Eagles– The Brown are in diseree right now with Deshaun Watson. Until he gets benched, expect them to struggle every week. In addition, it appears Watson and Stefanski are not on the same page. Eagles 27 Browns 10.

Commanders at Ravens– To me this is the game of the week. We have Lamar Jackson and the high flying Ravens against Jayden Daniels and the high flying Commanders. Both offenses have been clicking on all cylinders with their defenses not as good. This game has the making of a close one. Will the Ravens be able to keep Daniels in the pocket? Can they shutdown the Commanders passing game. The problem is there are many weapons that they have to contain with. Is this a game where the last team with the ball wins? What we know about Jayden Daniels and the Commanders is that they won’t beat themselves. In 5 games he has only thrown 2 int’s. Washington’s weakness is passing defense and I think the Ravens should exploit this but they have one of the best rushers in Derek Henry. This should be a good one. Commanders 27 Ravens 24.

Chargers at Broncos– An AFC West battle as the Chargers travel to Denver. Denver with Bo Nix have been playing well and Coach Payton has the boys believing. I like the Chargers in a close one. 21-17.

Steelers at Raiders– Should the Steelers play Russ? If they were to do it it would be now. Let him go against a pretty good defense and see what he’s made of. We know the Steelers D will show up especially against Aiden O’Connell. The Steelers should win this one. 24-17

Lions at Cowboys– Besides Ravens and Commanders this is the other must watch game. The Cowboys are coming off a big win against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. I like the Lions in this game because I think their defense will be able to contain Ceedee and get a good pass rush on Dak. Lions 24 Dallas 20.

Falcons at Panthers– Atlanta is the better team as they have beaten solid opponents this year. Panthers have struggled and even at home they will lose this one. Atlanta 31 Panthers 14.

Bengals at Giants– Are the Bengals the best 1-4 team in the NFL. We know they have a potent offense, but that defense needs help. The Giants are coming off a big win in Seattle. If this is a shootout I like the Bengals in this one. Even with Malik Nabers back, Cincinnati is the better team who is beyond desperate to win this one.

Bills at Jets– No Saleh, no problem!!! Wait a sec, was Saleh really the problem? Was it the lack of offensive creativity? Nathaniel Hackett is no longer calling plays, was that the problem? Often times we see coaches fired and the interim steps in and win the next game. They get a spark from them. I don’t think this happens this week as the Bills, after starting out hot, are also a hungry team to win. Josh Allen will get back on track this week. Bills 34 Jets 20.

LAST WEEKS RECORD: 7-7

BEST WEEK’S RECORD: WEEK 4 11-5
