Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer TAVE has released his debut single, “No More Maybes,” featuring acclaimed German singer-songwriter Bibi Bourelly and Los Angeles soul singer India Shawn.
Although TAVE has worked with R&B notables such as Little Mix, 6LACK, SiR, Kelly Rowland, The-Dream, EXO, Jazmine Sullivan, Melanie Fiona, and Bibi Bourelly (Rihanna, and Beyoncé), he is ready to make his mark as an artist, after recently signing to Warner Music UK.
TAVE is known for making “feel good,” music, and this track is no different. It has a smooth, trap soul vibe with the guitar- and the tempo is not too fast or too slow.
“No More Maybes”, which was released in July, describes when you finally decide to put your foot down and be happy and accept nothing less than what you deserve.
In the second verse he sings, “ I hate to say I hate it here/sometimes I think of ways to disappear/Mama said life is what you make it/Tell me, is this what I created?/. The verse goes on to talk about getting your peace and being alone instead of being in an unhappy situation.
The hook says, “ I don’t wanna be here no more, no more maybes.” No more wondering what life will be like if you do something different and move- just do it and go after what you want.
TAVE has had a comprehensive career as a musician, songwriter, touring music director, and A&R executive in London, New York, Los Angeles, and now Saint Lucia. He uses his experiences to make his music relatable, giving him his unique style.
“Ultimately my goal is to bring good vibrations, wellness, and healing through music,” TAVE has said when describing his purpose. “I really hope it will inspire people to follow their dreams, whatever they may be, the passion has been installed for a purpose.”
TAVE’s recent achievements include co-writing/co-producing K-pop sensation Aespa’s debut single, which soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Shot Debut charts, contributing to Masego’s Grammy-nominated album “Studying Abroad: Extended Stay” with standout tracks like “Polygamy” and “Bliss Abroad”, and 6LACK’s “Inwood Hill Park” from his 2024 Grammy nominated album “Since I Have a Lover”.
