Ever since the Miami Dolphins traded for superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill more than two years ago, they have gone from a team that was perennially stuck in mediocrity to a legitimate playoff squad.

Hill agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension upon arriving in Miami, and while that deal seemed lucrative at the time, the market for wide receivers has gone through the roof since then.

His extension has no guaranteed money after this season and will pay him less relative to other wideouts than he deserves, so he’s looking to get a new contract.

Though he admitted he’s happy for other star wideouts such as Justin Jefferson getting their big bags, Hill also said he’s excited to see where he will “fit in to that category,” per NFL on ESPN.

Hill played a huge role in the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl championship during the 2019 season, and while he was already a great player, his production has only increased since coming to the Dolphins.

In 2023, he led the NFL with 1,799 receiving yards and tied for the lead with 13 receiving touchdowns, and for much of the season was flirting with Calvin Johnson’s single-season record for receiving yards.

Had it not been for an ankle injury suffered late in the season, he could’ve possibly broken Johnson’s record and perhaps even eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark.

The Dolphins’ challenge is to finally win a playoff game for the first time since the 2000 season, and between Hill, fellow star wideout Jaylen Waddle, running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, they certainly have the talent on offense to do just that.
